I was born and raised in Rupert, Idaho. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior during the Summer of 2002. I entered into Boise Bible College in 2006 and am currently finishing up my final Preaching Major credits at Community Christian Church. I met my beautiful wife Rachele during college and we got married Jan. 7th 2010. We moved here to Twin Falls to finish up my Bachelor Degree, connect with our Family, and to slow down and enjoy the wonderful life God has given us.

I love meeting a friend for coffee, or watching a movie with a group of people. I enjoy playing multiple different instruments, as well as listening to all kinds of genres of music.  I love being outdoors in the beautiful creation, and any excuse to do so is a welcomed one.

A verse that has helped me tremendously in my walk with the Lord is 1 John 3:1 "How great is the love God has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God and that is what we are. For this reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him."

I grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho, and became a Christian and was baptized in sixth grade. I got serious about following Christ in college, and joined Community Christian Church in 1976, soon after we moved to Twin Falls.

My wife Patty and I have been married for 39 years; we have three grown children and two grandsons.

After graduating High School in 1970, I attended the University of Idaho, eventually earning a music education degree and then a masters degree in music theory and composition. I have taught music to kids in Twin Falls public schools for 37 years. I’m also involved with several adult community musical organizations.

At church I help with music, teaching, and ministry committees. I love teaching people of all ages, partly because I always learn more than my students, and also because working with people enrichs my life greatly. I am a member of Gideons International and support their mission of placing Scripture around the world, leading people to Christ.

I love all musical activities, water sports, and gardening. I also love reading and learning, and try to stay current with what Christ is doing in His body around the world. I try to read the Bible daily and to pray always. Apologetics and the intersection of science and ideas about God are favorite areas of study.

One of my favorite Bible passages, and one that I am spending my life trying to live up to, is Romans 12, which starts: Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is true worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

My wife and I have been married for 45 years.  We have 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.  I am a native Idahoan and have lived in the Magic Valley all of my life.   I was drafted into the Army in 1966 and served 2 years during the Vietnam War period.

In the early 1980s I attended a Bill glass Crusade in Twin Falls.  I rededicated my life to the Lord at that time.  Community Christian Church has been my home since then.  I have taught the Adult Sunday School class, the young men's group on Wednesday nights, and served on various ministries.

I am a business owner here in Twin Falls; it takes up a lot of my time.  If I had my choice I would be on the fishing bank with any of my kids or grandkids that would be willing to go with me.

My grandkids, and a few extra that I have picked up along the way, are the most important to me in my ministry.

My current verse is:  Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God;  I will be exalted among nations,  I will be exalted in the earth."

I am a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. My wife, Janice, and I met and married in 1953 while I was serving in the U.S. Navy. We moved to Idaho in the fall of 1972 and love the changing seasons that Idaho offers. We have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several foster children in our lives. I rededicated my life to Christ and joined the Community Christian Church in 2001, and I enjoy teaching young adult men’s classes. I have served on the financial team for the past 5 years, and as an Elder for 3 ½ years.

Idaho has some awesome fishing, and since I am partially retired, I go as time allows.

My current favorite verse is 1 John 1:7, “but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His son cleanses us from all sin”.
